Working Hard ?

May I never work in a place like this where I could be dead 5 days before someone would notice ! This just proves that relationships, chats & cups of coffee are important in the workplace.

What a strange story! I can hardly believe that the man's complete dedication to his job meant that no-one noticed he was dead for the whole working week. That is just crazy.

I'm not actually sure who's more to blame for this... The man's co-workers for not engaging with him all week - or the dead man for allowing himself become so enrapt with work for so much of his life that he had lost sight of living/ relationships/ community so that no-one noticed him missing in the evenings - let alone his co-workers not noticing him not alive in their presence.

I think you're right Minx. The fault lies on both sides.

I think this is why community & relationships are so important (whether it is a work community/ local community/ things we have in common community). It's important to check in with each other reguarly & make time for people so we don't get isolated & end up like this poor man !
