Bartering for a House

Have been looking for a house for the past month or so & have found one I particularly like. As I enter the negoiation stage of trying to agree a price, it strikes me that buying a house is like bartering in the Marrakech souk. I half expect the estate agent to say "I give you good price" as we talk.

He gives his price......... I offer my lowest price....... he drops a bit...... I go up a bit.........

All the same rules apply too - never look too interested or go up in price too quickly. Take your time etc etc. and hopefully you both end up with a price you are happy with.
